The Currency of Meaning
Money is a powerful illusion. It’s real, of course—at least in the sense that it can feed, clothe, and shelter us. But beyond that, it becomes a stand-in for meaning. A proxy for identity. A mask for purpose.
People say, “I love my job.” But ask them, “Would you do it if it paid zero?” and the room gets quiet.
